Hello Friends, my name is Sam!

I started my photo journey in high school with a film camera and a dark room.

I was young and was excited to create and when I found the photography classroom environment too constricting with all the rules and put the camera down out of frustration. Many years later, I was heading out on a trip with my friends to the east coast and I wanted to buy a camera to capture the memories I would be making on the trip. So I bought a Canon 77d with the standard kit lenses and began the creative journey that would transform my perspective and love for photography. I have always loved capturing moments, freezing the memories so as not to lose them. I love seeing people in their passions and comfort spaces, being authentically themselves, and capturing the magic of their passions. I gave myself a year of practice to decide if I still loved taking photos consistently and at the end of that time I would buy myself a camera that would fit my needs better. I never looked back. Fast forward, I got to shoot at the breweries I worked at, assisting with social media and marketing. My friends began asking me to take their photos with their partners and others began asking me to shoot their bands. It didn’t take long for me to realize that this hobby was my passion in life. I knew I wanted to take this to a level higher than just a weekend hobby. I never feel more alive than when I get to work with a camera. I’ve come to enjoy partnering with my community to document everything from special intimate moments to brands and businesses.
